(10/26/26) This last Saturday was a great day for me, one of the best ever. My son, Joel, was baptized. Joel is 42 years old at this point and has never been a consistent follower of Christ, until the last six months. God has worked powerfully in his life and drawn Joel to Himself, something I have been constantly praying for. In fact, in the last four months or so, he went on a crash Bible-reading program and in that time has read through the entire Bible. Wow! How kind, how wonderful, and how powerful is our God! My prayers for Joel have changed from: “Lord, draw him to yourself” to “Lord, confirm Joel unto the end, that he may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ!” (1 Cor 1:8)

Divine Delay
If you are much like the rest of us humans, waiting is one of the most distasteful things you ever do. Hard work we can endure, obnoxious co-workers we learn to put up with, and we can sit through a lousy movie for two hours without too much difficulty, but things like long lines, traffic jams, or being forced to sit at a table in a restaurant for half an hour before our food arrives are almost unbearable. Worse still are those times when the great yearnings of our hearts are put on hold. We love to fix problems and satisfy desires quickly. If we get hungry, we can stop by the fast-food restaurant and be eating in ten minutes. If our television goes out, we can run to the store and be watching a brand-new TV twice the size of our previous one by that evening.
Yet there are times when the desires of our heart stubbornly resist our every effort and scheme. No measure of talent, cleverness, money, or ambition is sufficient to satisfy our yearnings. Annoyance becomes frustration, frustration turns to misery, and misery yields to despair. We often wonder why our Heavenly Father seems so unconcerned with our desires and so resistant to our petitions. In Psalms we read: “Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their masters, as the eyes of a maid to the hand of her mistress, so our eyes look to the Lord our God until He has mercy on us.” (Psalms 123:2). God may not show up when we want Him to, but He is never late. “Blessed are all those who wait for Him.” And while we wait, He is building the character of Jesus Christ in us.
(06/08/26) I have been
doing a lot of writing on diabetes over the last year. Harvest House Publishers agreed to publish a new book, titled “Beat Diabetes in 6 Months,” and also asked me to update my first diabetes book: “Overcoming Runaway Blood Sugar,” which they plan to republish. The book is now available. You can get it on Amazon by clicking on the picture of the book to the left.
Some may wonder why and how I ever became interested in this subject of overcoming diabetes, and how this relates to my Bible teaching ministry. The why is pretty simple – back in 2001 diabetes came rushing at me like a freight train. It was one of the scariest times of my life. But I did what I always do when under attack – I prayed. And to quote the Scripture: “He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, Out of the miry clay, And set my feet upon a rock, And established my steps.” (Psalm 40:2). And when God’s showed me the answer, I had to share it, believing that Jesus sets a great model for ministry, as He went around Israel “teaching, preaching, and healing the sick.”

Missions Outreach
A major part of Spirit of Grace Ministries is our ministry in the great continent of Africa. In the above video Dennis shares exciting news about a recent mission which involved our “JESUS CONFERENCE,” plus a free medical clinic, and the provision of food for local widows in Busia, Kenya.
